Jones County E911 Service Commission
Goals of the E911 service Commission in Jones County Iowa:
A. To further the public interest and protect the health, safety and welfare of the people of Jones County
B. To enable the orderly development, installation and operation of enhanced E911 emergency telephone communication systems county wide
Some History:
In 1989 the Jones County Board of Supervisors established an E911 Service Board. Members from the Jones County communities, especially emergency responders , were appointed to the Board. The Board was charged with drafting a plan by January 1, 1994. The plan included projects the board intended to complete.
