Pavilion Rentals

Enclosed Pavilion

The enclosed pavilion at Central Park is popular with groups holding family reunions, wedding receptions, and birthday parties.  Re-roofed in 2004 this pavilion overlooks Central Park Lake and is located just down the hill from the modern campground area and new shower house facility.

Eighteen to twenty picnic tables provide enough seating for around 100 people.  The building has electricity and a water hydrant is located out the east doors.  Several standing charcoal grills are located in grassy areas around the outside of the building.  On warm summer days the window coverings can be lifted for maximum air flow.

Kids can keep busy at the new playground area located out the west doors, and the parks swimming area, sand volleyball court, and horseshoe pits are all within walking distance.

The rental fee for this facility is $45 per day.   All reservations must be made by calling the Jones County Conservation Administrative Office at (563)487-3541 after the first of the year.

North Open Air Shelter

The Jones County Conservation Board has several open air shelters for the publics use.  The North Open Air Shelter is reservable, with a reservation charge of $25.

The North Open Air Shelter was re-roofed in 2005 and provides a great view of Central Park Lake as you eat and visit.  A fire pit and several standing charcoal grills are located nearby.   Four to six picnic tables provide enough room for 32 -50 people to have a seat.  Kids can keep busy on the swing set and jungle gym or visit the Central Park Nature Center on weekend afternoons during the summer months.

Reservations may be made after the first of the year for that calendar year by calling the Jones County Conservation Administrative Office at (563)487-3541.
